Based on a study, people who have insomnia problems are at greater risk of cardiovascular problems, including heart attack.

Scientists have found that people who are more genetically exposed to insomnia have a large risk of heart attack and coronary artery disease.

Researchers say this study is in line with previous findings on the association between poor sleep and cardiovascular problems.

"If we can improve our sleep conditions and remove its barriers, it means we can reduce the risk of heart attack," said Hugh Markus, a co-author of the study at the University of New York. Cambridge.

The new research builds on previous findings that there are about 250 genetic variants that increase the risk of insomnia.

Researchers analyzed data from nearly 400,000 people to research the state of the cardiovascular system and its association with insomnia, writes The Guardian.
